About

I’ve over 20 years experience in a variety of roles, including senior executive roles, in the Australian Government, covering strategy, central agency policy, information technology, budgets and intelligence assessment. I’ve also worked in the private sector and in academia, most recently heading a startup, the Cyber Institute, at the Australian National University, where I hold a Honorary Professor of Practice in Cybersecurity. My interests are broad, reflecting my academic and work experience: strategy, complexity, policy, technology and the spaces in between.

I currently hold a fractional appointment as Professor, Cybersecurity Leadership and Strategy, UNSW Canberra. I also serve on government audit committees, undertake work in the private sector, and write.
